The weather has taken a turn for the worse. There's a howling gale, spots of rain and it's still hot. I hope it's not a typhoon. The manager says it's not.

Shopping and Lunch with the girls in Thongsala

Ben, Ay and I went shopping in Thongsala. I bought a Diesel belt. Ben bought some clothes and jewellry. I took the girls to lunch in a small restaurant. Ben and I had basil pesto with bread and Ay had pizza. The pesto was the best. It was the first time the girls had eaten western food and they liked it. They were such fun.

Thai massage

I went back to the Cosmic Energy Massage Centre and I recognised Buddha Bar music playing on the stereo. How cool! I had a one hour Thai massage with Mr Roend, the husband of Nand. It was fantastic. Then I took photos of the family's tattoos. His son Arei is very proud of his dragon tattoo on his chest. He believes it makes him stronger. He also had a Buddhist wheel on his chest for good luck and a long life. Mr Roend has two dragons on his back.

Lek's Bar on the beach

I just had to have another Pink Lady and listen to more reggae music. I also had a Pad Thai and a drink with Gene and Barb. Gene is in the construction business and currently working in Georgia, Russia. He also worked in Iraq in 2003. Barb is a middle school teacher in California. They work for 3 months at a time and then go travelling. They'd just come from the Middle East.
