I saw Ratatouille the other night in French. Great movie. I highly recommend it. Except I was really sad to find out the rat's name isn't ratatouille. It's remy. remy the rat. not a fan. I also punched a lady in the head. Accidentally. I was on the metro and it was packed so I didn't really have anything to hold on to. I was fine for a while but then I felt myself falling so I quickly reached up to grab the handle on the wall and this lady just happened to be leaning against this wall innocently reading a book. That's when I punched her right in the head while reaching for the handle. She was very nice about it and when I got off the train I couldn't believe what I'd done and started laughing to myself in a "oh my god did i just do that" sort of way. So I probably looked like somecrazy laughing to herself. Anyway, I have a new love. And it's called Nutella. they sell it in the states so I think all of you should go out and buy it right now. It's a chocolate spread with hazelnut and you put it on bread and it is glorious. So I bought some of that to keep in the apartment where I live as well as some cheese. It's called La vache qui rit (the cow that laughs. also known as Laughing Cow cheese in the states) so i bought it because it's good and not smelly or moldy. And I find out that its the cheese they give to "les petits enfants" (little kids). So I'm eating little kid cheese. But it's good. So there. Yesterday I went to church at Notre Dame (shocking since it's been a while) but I went and 1) it was PACKED. I found one seat in the very last row. And that's a huge cathedral. And 2) it was the "international mass" which I thought meant some english. But by international they meant speaking french, spanish, and italian. Still it was pretty cool. Except for they still let visitors in during masses so there are people walking around taking pictures and video taping..it was a bit distracting. Then after I went to this huge park with some friends and had a picnic. The weather yesterday was beautiful. It was sunny and the perfect temperature and it smelled like Fall. Plus there were so many families with little kids and dogs! This little boy was walking with his mom by the pond/lake and said "Mami, un poisson!" I was excited because I understood that meant "Mommy a fish!" but then I realized it was a 2 year old that I was understanding...But I did pet my first dog here! I've been missing Jazzy as you all know and there are so many dogs here and I finally pet one. It was a beagle and was running around like crazy and kept leaping over the railing and playing in the water. So it finally laid down and was rolling around and I walked up to it and started speaking english to it, you know the usual things you say to a dog, but got no response so i started speaking french and it came over to me and I pet it. I know you probably don't find that story to be very interesting but I was very happy. I also tried to go up the eiffel tower this weekend but the very top was closed so we decided against it. And I went to dinner at a restaurant the other night and when we were leaving we saw this woman that had eaten her entire dinner with her cat in her lap. When in France, do as the French do? I think not...Oh and I went to the louvre! And I've decided that it will be my new home. Literally. I want to live there.
