Dear All,

We are safely in Lima, Our journey here was a bit of an epic - up at 5am for our 7:45am flight from barbados to trinidad, change of planes and 2hrs later we were in Curacao. A small island about 45 minutes off Venezeula which also boasts a capital that looks remarkably like Amsterdam due to the fact the Dutch own it.. photos will follow once we get organised.

after a 6hr stopover there, the highlight being my beef kebab, we checked in with Avianca for Bogota..2hrs later we were in bogota, Colombia..everyone was marching around...Anyway we got the cards out and waited another 2hrs for our last flight to Lima..got there and our transfer to our hostel wasn{t there..no worries we got a taxi through a deserted Lima and found our hostel...no reservation was found...too tired to complain wer waited until they sorted it out.and collapsed at about 2:30am = 12hrs sleep followed..

Lima is cold.

the shorts and bikinis packed have been replaced by recently purchased woolly hats and coats.. Lima seems good from what we have seen. I can now order a pint in Spanish but am relying on Hayley to get anything else at the moment.
