We arrived into Curacao on time in the early evening after our day in Bogota!
Warm and sunny we had no transportation to our accommodation, and after negotiating paid a lady taxi driver in a summer cocktail dress and high heels USD35..... to take us to our apartment. We drove for about an hour, saw some dodgy looking gangster types and asked various people and could not find the apartments. The telephone numbers were ringing unanswered. We eventually found them and were very pleased with what we found. The Limestone Hill Apartments are six pleasant bungalows on a private beach, we realised the next day that we were not miles away from anywhere, it was just the interesting route that the taxi driver took!
We had dinner at the Boat Club restaurant overlooking the harbour. It was very nice to be back in the warm caribbean again. Probably safe to say that this will be the only day where we had breakfast in Peru, Lunch in Columbia and dinner in Curacao!!!
The following day we relaxed and got provisions for our stay. the following day we went on a day tour with the car that came as package with the apartment, however my map reading was not very good and apart from the nice lunch and scenery, the rest of the day was a littel niggley! :-)
the following day we went to the se aquarium and saw dolphins sharks turtles etc... that was fun, the weather was great and all was well.
12 July....
tomorrow we have a morning flight to Barbados..........................
