Today was much better although we can add a parking fine to the list of things that happened on our holiday. LOL, whatever!
Edinburgh castle is pretty cool, still very intact and well maintained. It was a little chilly today, not too sure what temp, but I was surprisingly comfortable thanks to my jacket from City Beach. I was also getting into the Scottish spirit and was rocking a tartan scarf I picked up this morning. We also went to the whiskey experience. I went for a mild citrusy single malt, not bad, although I still couldn't drink it.
Tomorrow we head off into the highlands. First stop, St Andrews golf course, I wonder who put that on the itinerary?

A very picturesque city, gothic cathedrals, medieval castles and cobblestone streets.
Also worth mentioning is the exceptional food we've had while we've been here.
The coldness is not excessive... Yet, apparently we can expect some 'arctic' winds in the next few days, heading north into the highlands should serve as a good preparation for Russia!
I've never drunk so much straight scotch whiskey in my life, which thankfully isn't much. It's not that I don't like it, it's just that I'm not used to drinking it straight.
Hopefully I can get into St Andrews for a hit tomorrow, could be a little too expensive though, and being Sunday, could be a little busy.
Oh, it's also really good to have English tv channels after a couple of weeks in Egypt/Spain.
There's only so much BBC news you can watch.
Kharas bugging me to go for a drink now so I have to go ;)
