Today we drove around in our ink blue Ford fiesta and headed towards St Andrews. We didn't really have any specific plans, but I was about to wet myself so we followed the signs to the first tourist attraction and went inside. It was a cute castle ruin and a cathedral. Not too bad, got a bit claustrophobic in the mines that the locals built to take back the castle, they were successful. We then went to one of the many golf courses and Matt got to have a round of golf. We are staying in a hotel that looks like its straight out of the medieval times. Beautiful!

Oh yeah! I got to play 18 holes at St Andrews! We won't talk about the score though, the main thing is I had fun!
As soon as we left Edinburgh, the scenery totally changed. Cute little seaside towns, rolling hills and narrow winding roads. The Fiesta is only a povo pack, without even cruise control, but it was a pleasure to drive on the country roads on our way to Pitlochry.
The hotel in Pitlochry is really nice and has what may be Scotland's oldest functioning elevator!
We don't know what this area has in store for us tomorrow, it seems like a quiet rural town that has somewhat turned its self into a weekend retreat from the surrounding cities.
Will report back again tomorrow, same Bat time, same Bat channel!
