Mary's Travels
We woke up early to take the bus to the Palace of Versailles. It is being renovated to look as it did when Louis XVI lived there- complete with 24-carat gold surrounding the roof. The taxpayers are pumped. After Versailles, we went to the Louvre. However, some of us weren't so artsy, so we went out on the streets and shopped a bit. After meeting back up with the group, we went to dinner. I had a nice one-on-one meal with my friend Amelia. We had to eat just quick enough to get to the Eiffel Tower at 8:00pm. It was a bit of a wait, but the views were amazing. Amelia and I needed to use the restroom, and there was another incident aux toilettes. But I got to use the facilities on the Eiffel Tower, so I'm pretty proud of that. Afterwards, we sat on the lawn by the tower and waited an hour for the sparkling lights show.
