Mary's Travels
Today I woke up early to go to Notre Dame de Sion in Évry with Vanessa. It was really cool to see, and there were even people there to see their results on the BAC. While Anne chatted with her students about their scores, Vanessa and I explored the school. It was a pretty normal looking school, but it was nice and big. 1,500 students, 6th to 12th grade. They had a ton of land, and the entrance looked like a park. Unfortunately, the gates to Theodore Ratisbonne's grave were locked, and the principal was out, but Anne gave us a lovely tour. The school was very different from ours- no uniforms, co-ed, large... But we had the same foundation of respecting all faiths which was really cool. After seeing as much as we could, we went to a store nearby to enjoy the ongoing sales. We got some good deals there, but had to leave because we were so hungry. We dropped off Vanessa and came home to a delicious lunch of chicken. It was really filling, and Claire and I thought all we could do after that was lay out in the sun and read, so that's what we did. When it got too hot, we came in and played Just Dance with Laure. I went upstairs to pack for Collioure when I got exhausted until it was was time for dinner. We had tomato pasta with meat and vegetables and were filled to the brim again. After that we packed some more and tried to get to bed early.
