Maria's Big Adventure!
The following day we had to get on public bus to visit the deserted Mughal kingdom of Fatehpur Sikri, which consisted of another Fort. The bus itself was an experience, very hot and busy with people trying to sell you thing through the windows.
The Fort was once the captital for 14 years but is now a ghost city. This was then followed by a typically Indian lunch called Thali, which is three different vegetarian curry dishes, rice, chapti, yogurt and rice pudding and was surprisingly nice!
We then had to get on another bus and went to the Keoladeo Bird Sanctuary. We had a cycle rickshaw around the park and saw peacocks, a kingfisher, jackal, stalks and monkeys. The park holds a record of over 4000 birds being killed in one day!
