The following day we were up early to head for Agra. We had to get the early morning train, fortunately we had reserved seat in the air con section. The rest of the train was really busy and I wouldn't have fancied trying to fight for a seat. Considering this is India and it's renowned for everything being late the train was pretty much on time.
Once we arrive we transferred to our hotel and then headed for Agra Fort, which was far more impressive than the one in Delhi. We then had some free time so decided to go to the Little Taj. We took auto rickshaws to get there and it was the scariest journey so far, we went over a bridge which had holes in it so you could see straight through! And the journey really wasn't worth it as the Little Taj was pretty crap! Plus we saw the two tier pricing system for foreigners in full operation, it cost 110 rupees for us but only 10 rupees if you were Indian!
We then went to the real Taj Mahal for sun set. It is absolutely beautiful. As we are here out of season, i.e. summer and incredibly hot, the main tourist there were India's and they found us far more interesting than the Taj! By the time we left we must have had our picture taken at least thirty times! Some people would try to walk by whilst getting their friends to take pictures subtly, other would pick one of us who they wanted to have their picture with or who they wanted their children to have their picture with while other decided to come and sit with us when we were sat down and ask the whole group of us the pose. It was so funny, I don't think I've ever had m picture taken so often by complete strangers!
