We left at 7am to get a head start on the Grand Teton National Park, and it was worth it! On the loop we saw the Church of Transfiguration, which was built in the early 1900's, and is in the middle of no where with the most amazing views over the Teton Mountain Range! On our way back to the main loop road, we saw a Coyote, who trooted along the road right in front of us - but he was too quick for a good picture, but we got a shot of his bum! We managed to get to Jenny Lake before the hoards and began our hike in peace. We saw a Beaver, a Snake a Deer and lots of great views, waterfalls and.......mosquitoes! We climbed to Inspiration Point where we saw a fantastic view over Jenny Lake then we headed back down to the lake to catch a boat back to the start of the trail, on account of Laura being eaten alive by mosquitos the size of Bison!
We continued around the loop, stopping to see herds of Bison and to take photos of the view over the dam. We took a scenic drive up to Signal Mountain where we could see for miles over the valley then we headed to Colter Bay at the top of the loop to visit the Indian Arts Museum.
On our way back to Jackson we stopped at the Snake River lookout to see the winding river cutting into the valley. There are Bald Eagle nests here, but unfortunately we didn't manage to see any! After dinner in Jackson we headed straight to bed after a long but exciting day!
