Today is the day of great food! We travelled by bus and then boat to Tortuguero. Had exceptional banana bread from a bakery before we left. The boat ride was fun and we saw a sloth and some monkeys. I think most other wildlife was hiding to stay out of the pouring rain! We stopped at a very remote place and had a fantastic lunch of fried chicken, lemonade, carrots, beans and rice and pineapple for dessert.
Tortuguero is interesting. There are raised walking paths throughout the small town. The disco is an unmarked purple building, resembling a warehouse. I guess it's really exclusive!
We tried several cocktails from a nice bartender named Freddy at the hotel bar. He put up a Canadian flag for us and let us choose some music, so of course we chose some Silver Creek (from Ottawa) and Joel Plaskett (from Nova Scotia). Has a great time! There was a crab lurking about in the women's washroom so
We took lots of pics.

Brenda Lajeunesse Sloths look so cute...but are they? How come the Canadians rate flags but the Aussies don't?
