Only kidding!! Our first day in Vegas was actually pretty tame, some may even say boring - but we needed it! We had a lovely long lie in, with no rush to check out at all, which was lovely. What happens Vegas, stays in Vegas.

After a nice big breakfast and checking out, we hit the road for Vegas. We had the choice of the scenic but 11hour journey through Yosemite, or the 8hour less interesting journey around Yosemite. We chose the latter. Instead of attempting the spanish CD (advanced as it is) we instead listened to the Les Mis soundtrack, I did such a good job at acting out all the parts, that Donna felt like she had actually watched the film. I think a career of treading the boards...

Well well well - Donna's best nights sleep so far!! Being at one with nature in the tent did her the world of good! We were woken up by our friendly neighbourhood woodpecker pecking on his wood. After a chilly walk up to the toilets and showers we decided we would stay an extra night here as it was so nice and relaxing, and a good price for what we were getting. Donna woke up feeling much better today, the worst of the cold seems to have left her thankfully. I however woke up with what we think is a potential spider bite, or cluster of them really.The drive towards Yosemite was largely flat and dusty, kust what I'd hope to see in Steinbeck country!
