Well it is 6am on Sunday 4th November and we've just been woken up by the sound of two Americans making sweet sweet love. Apparently "the sky is the limit" - seems as good of time as any to write the first blog post!!
After a rather tearful farewell at the airport by all, we made our way to the plane only to be greeted by every long haul passengers dream - a row of four seats to ourselves! Happy days! This joy was short lived as Donna ended up mid atlantic on the cold floor of the service area of the plane with the stewards. For once this wasn't alcohol related. After a make shift hot water bottle was made up she was feeling much better. Upon landing we had the usual wait to get through customs. For the first time ever they were actually friendly USA Border Officers!
B.O: Occupation please.
Donna: Unemployed, as of today.
B.O: I'm sorry to hear that.
Donna: I'm not!
We then headed to collect our car. It is a beast!! A white convertible Mustang. We obviously had to call her Sally. After a slight whiplash inducing test drive around the carpark as Donna got used to manual drive, we were on the road! We arrived safe and sound at our hotel in little Thailand at 9pm and ordered a Thai Takeaway before we couldn't keep the jetlag at bay any longer and went to sleep.

Ed s***, it's only the Sunday 3rd November here. That time zone around LA must be really tricky...
