A lovely lie in we eventually got ourselves out of bed and headed downstairs for breakfast and some planning for our route down to Florida the next day. We then set off for downtown to explore the city. We spent the afternoon exploring the Georgia Aquarium, the largest in the world. Got nice and close to some otters, penguins and weirdly some mermaids during a very Disney and very American show involving dolphins, mermaids and pirates. As you do.
We got a friendly man to print our tickets for the Basketball match that night and then we headed to dinner and a lovely restaurant called The Juke Joint which had some live jazz, soul as well as some great fried chicken and moonshine cocktails.
After which we made our way to the basketball match. It was Atlanta Hawks vs Cleveland Cavaliers, a record breaking match by all accounts, although we didn't have too much of a clue as to what was going on. But the beers, celeb spotting (2Chainz) and bizarre gospel choir/contemporary dance routine at half time kept us entertained.
The rain had returned when we left th game and a mad dash back to the car was needed. After a anic that we were in fact locked in the car park, we made it back to Frazer's and had another lovely and cosy night's sleep.
