Hi all. Today is our last day at our current jobs and our last night in Sydney, we are VERY excited! My boss just gave me a big bottle of lovely expensive hand cream as a leaving present, as she has been so grateful for what I've done (I think she's mad, I haven't really done a lot!) She wanted to buy me something luxurious and thought of hand cream as I'll need it after working on the farms - How very sweet of her. Last Friday, one of the guys here had a leaving party lunch, it was meant to be 2 hours, but turned into 4! It was at a great "cook your own steak on the BBQ" place down on Sydney harbour, washed down with a few beers.. AND all paid for and I got paid for it too! - Why am I leaving?!! Gavin & I then went out for the evening with my Uncle and his friends, as he is off on a course for 6 months to get his helicopter pilots license, so more beers involved and a lovely evening out on a rooftop garden of a hotel. Saturday we then went and picked up our new home! She's brilliant, I haven't driven her yet as its a bit hairy on the Sydney roads, I'm going to wait until we're on quieter roads, because I'm a wuss! Gavin's loving it though, he drives to work and back every day now so has got used to the roads and things. We've kitted her out with all the gear we need, stocked up with food and water and have even put up Gav's Man Utd Calendar on the wall to make it feel a bit more homely! We're leaving tonight as tomorrow is Easter Friday, we decided to get out of Sydney as far as we can to try to beat some of the traffic and stop off somewhere for the night, to then carry on our journey over the weekend down to Adelaide. Still haven't got connected to the Internet yet, stupid company. Spent 2 hours on the phone to them last week, they said it would be 4 days to get me connected?! Today is the fourth day, so we shall see what happens when I get home later! Will be sure to keep in contact as much as we can though.
