Got up, packed my stuff, said bye to the receptionists then got the 7.50 bus to the transit center. Met some other girls waiting for the Oz Ex bus on the way there, we had an hour and a half to kill till the bus arrived! There was cheap internet in the transit so it was a perfect time to update my blogs, then I went with Tess, a canadian girl, to McDonalds for a healthy breakfast.... yum! Got on the bus at half 9 and met 2 guys Tess had been travelling with, so I was speaking to the 3 of them most of the journey. Had a couple of quick stops on the way, including to this AMAZING ice cream shop. Just a little family run place where all the ice cream is freshly made on their macadamia nut farm. I had a pot of cookies and cream and it was delicious! Wasn't the weather for it (it was pouring down, again!) but still really good. Got to Agnes Waters at 2... Tess and the guys were only staying one night so were doing the Scootoroo that afternoon. I thought I would wait till the next day, as I had a full day with no plans. When I got there though I saw Sarah and Laura (from Sydney) with their friends Alex and Sam and the couple I had shared a room with in Byron Bay! The 6 of them had been travelling together for a while and were doing the Scootoroo that afternoon. They were also there for a full day the next day so really wished I had put my name down for that afternoon then I could have been with all of them and then hung out with them the next day... perfect weather too as we'd driven out of the rain! The rooms in the hostel were really nice, big en suites, spacious, amazingly comfy beds! It was a small hostel though with just the reception, kitchen and a little tv area... had a nice feel to it but it's the first hostel I've been to without a bar. Some people were watching a film, didn't really want to interupt, so I had a lovely shower then walked down to the beach! Was a nice walk, through the tiny town of Agnes then through a little park. The beach was nice, had a little walk along it but didn't fancy sunbathing so I found a little cafe, got myself some lunch and a strawberry milkshake (top marks) a sat reading my book which was lovely. Went back to the hostel at 5 because I though that would be when the others were back. They weren't actually back till half 6 so that wait dragged on! I sat in the tv area though, Run Fat Boy Run was on but it kept skipping, so annoying! Went up to the room and the others were back (Sarah and that lot, never actually saw Tess and the guys again) who said they had had an amazing time which was awesome, I had booked onto the next day and couldn't wait :-D The 6 of them were obviosuly really close so it was a bit hard to join in with their conversations (loads of in jokes!) but I went with them to a little restaraunt/cafe place to get dinner (garlic bread, being the odd number I had no one to share a pizza with and couldn't afford a whole one!) then we went back to the room. Me and Laura wanted to go out but no one else wanted to - they'd had a big night the night before, annoying i missed it. Didn't really want to just go out with Laura as she wanted to go out and meet a guy she fancied so would have been a bit awkward! I had really fancied a big night out but no one else wanted to so I went with it and we all stayed in - it was a shame but we sat in the room and played some card games then Sarah's bopyfriend Drew played guitar for us all which was really cool and made me sleepy in a good way. Went to bed about half 12, such comfy beds, was so nice :-)
