Today was the last day of our starter pack and we were going on a trip to the Blue Mountains , a mountainous region in New South Wales. Had an early start!! Got up and dressed, definately feeling the effects of the free wine the night before, then had to be at the pick up point at half 7... I totally went the wrong way and really thought I was gonna miss the bus!! Managed not to, luckily! Got on the bus and there was the 7 of us from the starter pack and a fair few older couples and a another group of 3 guys. I think there were about 20 of us, all different ages. Our driver was a bit mad! He would get each of the people from our starter week to take it in turns sitting with him at the front of the bus and he would chat away haha! He did give some commentry of the trip but I couldnt keep focused on what he was saying unfortunatly. The journey to Blue Mountains was 2 and a half hours which we didn't realize! but we had a brekkie top and a lunch stop in a nice little town. We got to the Blue Mountains and went to a few different photo spots. It was really impressive! Absolutley huge valley and some gorgeous waterfalls. Gorgeous day for it too! We then had a choice to go for a walk to a viewing platform in the valley or get the cable car, so our group and the 3 guys went for the walk - it would have been a bit much for the older people, pretty steep and lots of steps! Was a gorgeous walk though with all the waterfalls and it was very Jurrasic Park-y! When we got to the bottom we had a trip on the worlds steepest train ! It really was mega steep!!! We were going backwards and when we sat down the floor was almost vertical infront of us but then as we went up the track our feet were flat, the train felt nearly vertical! It was a really good ride thiough through the jungle and through a tunnle, and to top it off they were playing the Inidiana Jones music - awesome! Had a look in the gift shop then got back on the bus and went to another amazing view point and got an ice cream! One of the guides from another bus spotted a snake and said it was a dangerous one, I dont mind snakes so went and had a look - it was pretty cool! Just slithering around by the side of the path. Got back in the bus and took the journey back to the hostle, stopping off on the way to look at the Sydney Olympic Park which was sooo impressive, really modern and massive arenas! We could have got a ferry back to the harbour for pretty cheap but majority vote was to stay on the bus so we did. Got back to the hostle and got ready to go out as it was the last night for Tayo, Mopo, Matt and Hans. Went to a club called the Gaff which was another really good club, 2 floors and lots going on. It was another good night :-)
