Today was more like it! Got up and popped online to do yesterdays blog. Then at 11 we met Temo (the group leader) and got on a mini bus (driven by Brad, the guy who picked me up from the airport) to Bondi! Was soooo nice to get out of the city center! Bondi Beach is a famous beach in Aus, its where surfing was introduced and is stunning. Got off the bus and were told we had a 40 min costal walk to the beach - wish I had worn my other shows but was up for a nice walk :-) Found out Danielle "doesn't do walking" so she wasnt too happy, but it was a really nice walk, got some lovely views. Such a nice place, little beaches and parks with free BBQ's to use, some gorgeous houses and little shops and cafes. Got to Bondi and it was lovely :-) Some people went off to get food straight away but me and Valerie went to sunbathe! Was sooo nice, gorgeous weather and so relaxing. Layed there for ages just chilling out then James and Danielle joined us and we went for a quick dip which was lovely, but we weren't meant to be swimming in the area we were so we weren't in for ling. Valrie went to lay on the grass as she hates sand but I laid on the beach with the others and fell asleep! Was lovely but i did get burnt :-o When the others went to get fiid I joined Valerie on the grass and read a magazine :-) We then popped into a cafe and the lady was sooo nice, doing deals and even told us to buy our drinks from the other shop as they were loads cheaper!! Wouldnt get that in England! We then met the others at 3 ready to get our bus back to town. Got back and showered and washed my hair etc then at half 6 we went to the backpackers lounge for a travel talk which was really really good, going through all the options of travelling in Oz and telling us what we could do at each pace. Made me remember why I came to Aus!! Do wish I had enough money to see it all though - such a big place though, places like Perth sounds brill buts its soo far away. Maybe should have started in Melbourne but this starter pack has been good for setteling me in. Not sure what I'll do once its over tbh!! Anyway after the travel talk we went down to the down under bar and got free drinks and a free meal which was delicious, was soo hungry! Was a really nice meal :-) We went back to the hostle and at our hostle a different person who wors here is an events manager every night and takes people out. Tonight was a club called Scary Canary which sounded good so I was up for going. Valerie, Lauren, Connor and Tayo (a scouse guy) were gonna come but Connor and Laure changed their minds. Thoguht i'd be ok as i was with Valerie but then she left just as the bus turned up! So felt properly stitched up as I didnt know Tayo very well but was up for a night out! Anyway so it was just me, Tayo and Andy, the guy running the evening, and I was a bit worried I would loose them but knew I had to stick with them as I wasnt going to walk home on my own! Got the the club and it was really good a lot better than the others ones we'd been too - good music, proper dancefloor etc. Felt pretty lost at first though, not really knowing anyone and feeling like a tagalong for the other two, but LUCKILY I met a really nice girl from England and 3 Americans she was with so spent the night with them and had a really good time!! Really glad I went. There were some games going on too which were really funny to watch :-P The people I had met were staying in a hostle near me so we all walked back together, not sure what time, and I went to bed.
