Day 17: Lausanne.
Another relaxing day by the beach...
This morning I actually managed to have a proper lie in, getting up for breakefast at about 11am (its like being at uni again). After breakfast we got reeady for another day by the lake. This time we headed to the beach just opposite their flat. Today wasnt quite as warm as it was yesterday (still boiling compared to the UK) so it was nicer subathing. Although the lake was a bit colder, so I just had to run in to cool off. After a couple hours we headed back to the street that the flat was on, where there was a big international food festival going on, to have some lunch. I had the best Swiss beef sandwhich ever. We then headed back to the lake for some more sunbathing (ahh this is the life). Just before six me and Beau headed back to the flat to get ready to go out for some dinner. We found a nice little street bar/restaurant where (after a slight confused language barrier) we ordered some pasta and salad. The meal was really nice, if not slightly confusing to order (my standard grade french has clearly been wiped from my memory). After dinner we walked along beside the lake for a bit and then headed back to the flat.
So there you have my final day in Lausanne. Its been such a nice change of pace here (and especially a nice break from the hostel life). Lausanne is a really picturesque place. Tomorrow it is time to move on again though. Next stop = Milano.
