Road trip - day 27 - Thursday
Hot, sunny & windy. Temp must have been 20c +, still 17c at 8pm.
Skyped Kaz & Tyler first thing
Spent the day reading & sunbathing & catching up on emails etc.
Went out am to look for the big white bird of prey that G thinks is a male hen harrier. Couldn't see it! Ended up driving around to find a bread shop, in Faye we got a really lovely loaf of pain aux cereal to have with bits from the fridge for lunch
Wendy showed us the model railway & the big house; very, very nice!
Started to pack & went out to find Gam Vert in Loudin for a pressie for Wendy & Nigel. Didn't fancy the restaurants on offer so went back to Richelieu but the pizza place was shut - onwards back to Lencloitre to revisit the same pizza place as Sunday
On the way back to the Gite we saw 2 unusual things! A wild boar crossed the road in front of us, big & potentially fast ... but it seemed to just be strolling from wood to wood (with the road in the way). And we saw a baguette machine in Lencloitre - very strange but good looking bread in there at just over 1euro.
Back at the Gite we settled to pack, clean & do internet 'stuff' .... but Wendy popped round to ask if we wanted a last night farewell drink. Of course we accepted - after midnight to bed but had a good chat about the Gite business & buying French houses
