Road trip - day 26 - Wednesday

Up very late, even for us! Breakfast with regular visits from Moses.

Decided to go somewhere for a few hours then back to the Gite for afternoon sun, clothes washing & hopefully skyping.

Settled on Rochemenier on the way to Angers & the troglodyte village/farm. Great visit, very interesting. Saw 2 farms hewn from the rock, with various outbuildings & a village hall & a church. Stopped at the salon de the for an infusion & ice cream with a macaroon. Yum yum.

Stopped at SuperU market in Loudin for basics for tea. First supermarket in France ever where the fruit & veg wasn't top class!! And there was no asparagus!! Stopped at an asperge vente ici & bought it fresh & cheap!

Back at the Gite it was lovely & sunny, G went by the pool to read & I stayed by the Gite with crackers & a bottle of rose ;) Put a couple of washes on, such luxury to use a proper washing machine!!

A bit squiffy, skyped Laura - great to see Jacob looking so big & more interactive. Looking forward to a hug next week. Talked about J being at nursery for 6 hours today & arrangements to meet in St Malo next Wednesday .... can't wait!!

Hung out washing, had galettes for tea, chilled!!! Reading the Husbands Secret .... Good evening!!
