This adventure continues to show me more and more………..

It was a really hot one today, but an awesome day. I was at the Sinetemba street kids today where we did some art and crafts wit some of the children who go there everyday. It is a very special place providing, a place for kids to go to during the day for some food, a shower, help, support education and so much more. This NGO helps to get kids who have had a difficult upbringing and or are not in school, don’t have a job, it helps to get them into something with direction again. I only spent the morning there today so I don’t know everything about there but I know they do great work. It’s so nice to be able to do something so simple like use magazines to make beads for necklaces and use milk bottles to make wallets, along with coke cans as ash trays or use plastic bottles and turn them into flowers…!

From there we went back to the trail, it was really hot, but we spent a few hours continuing to chop the wattle and then finish of with some pine! It so peaceful on the trail, and nice to learn from new cultures, learning about the Rasta’s who are really awesome, there community hear is so friendly and as I have said previous it was also a part of my trip to meet and learn about new people. I have enjoyed my 2 days seeing the project, and can’t wait to come back and visit the trail and help as it continues to be something special!

Back to the island…. A swim in the lagoon, the sun still warm, the cool water and a view that I wont forget, the forest on one side and the heads in front of me where the whites of the waves and the blue of the sea meet, blue sky’s above... and the relaxed atmosphere at 5pm another day has past but another day of memories to take with me on my adventures!
