Day 80- We arrived in to Agnes at 10:45am and we were so tired due to the lack of sleep on the bus which was so uncomfortable, nowhere near as good as the South American buses. Luckily the hostel picked us up from the stop so we didn't need to walk. The town was tiny, all it consisted of was a row of shops and a few houses, we had a bit of a walk around, went to the beach and walked back to the hostel. Even though the hostel was called 1770 Beachside Backpackers we soon realised that it wasn't in the town of Seventeen Seventy. With no shuttle buses and being too far away to walk we decided to hire some bikes from the hostel. We used the bikes first to get some shopping in for tea then we cycled to Seventeen Seventy (The first place Captain Cook set foot upon Australia in 1770). The ride was about half an hour and was quite hilly and steep at times. The weather was perfect and the cycle was lovely. Our first stop was Monument point, the estimated point where Captain Cook first landed, we walked down on to the beach to wait for the sunset. After about half an hour we woke up and realised we had both fallen asleep from being so tired off the night before. We decided to cycle back down to the main beach but once back on the road Lloyd being Lloyd he wanted to cycle to the top of the extremely steep bank so off we went. After a gruelling up hill climb we made it to the middle of a housing estate, after a little cycle around we found an amazing spot where there was the actual anchor of a shipwreck nearby. Sunset wasn't far away so we raced back down the hill to the main beach which was pretty busy, I remembered a gorgeous tiny beach we passed on the way so we cycled there and were just in time. We parked up our bikes and watched the most beautiful sunset we have ever seen, definitely worth it! Once back we made a lovely stir fry for tea and tried to take advantage of the free wi-fi, but it was so slow we gave up and went to bed.
