Day 100- After a nice restful sleep in our big double bed we had breakfast and set out on a beach walk. We walked down to the marina first then on to Turners Beach, it was full of surfers as the waves were pretty big, it was great watching them. We walked along to the breakwall and found some rocks to sit on, we sat for a while watching the sea go by, remembering how lucky we are to be on this amazing trip. We decided to follow the rocks along the coast back round Turners beach and by Main beach. We continued over the top of the headland on to Convent beach and along to Pipi's beach which was by far the biggest and the most beautiful. We found a good spot and did some sunbathing and a bit of swimming. We noticed a couple of surfers in the sea, they seemed to be beginners so we watched them for a while to pick up any tricks, they looked just like Amy and Ian but we were too far away to make out for sure but we kept watching and couldn't believe how much they resembled them. We sunbathed some more and as we walked along the beach we saw it was definitely them so went over to say hi before heading back to the hostel. We had spent the whole day walking the coast. Back at the hostel we knocked up some tea and showered. Our amazing room had a tv and I managed to find the vicar of Dibley Christmas special starting so we we settled dpwn to watch and have a good laugh. We got a text from Amy and Ian saying they were downstrairs as there was a poker night on. We came down and bought a drink had chatted to them, it was nice to catch up again. There was a very drunk young lad who came to sit with us and he gave us a show of his best car sounds and trumpet sounds, I laughed so much I broke in to tears, it was a good bit of entertaining.
Day 101- We had booked up to go surfing with the hostel so we were up early and at reception for 8:30am. We had to show how to get up on the board and we were taught a few more advanced moves and techniequs. We then drove along to Pipi beach and we were straight in the water, the waves were even bigger than the day in Byron beach and it was so hard getting in to the sea. This was more of just a chance to surf rather than a lession although the guy Shane who took us did help us out here and there to get us on the good waves. Once we managed it actually get passed the waves without being wiped out and in to the sea we managed to get some good photo's and have some fun. We were shattered by the end, surfing isn't as hard as it looks, getting up is pretty easy its actually getting in to the sea and catching the waves that are hard. Once back at the hostel we had time to chill there wasn't much to sea in Yamba so we bought a frothy coffee and settled to write up some of out diary and blog which we had once again managed to fall behind on, having to much fun! At about 5pm we decided to go for a nice walk as it had cooled down a bit. We walked down to the marina where we sat from almost an hour just watching the sea and boats bob up and down, Lloyd managed to fall asleep, shattered off surfing. We walked along to Turner beach and there were still some people surfing. Back at the hostel we chatted to Amy and Ian till there bus arrived and an hour later at 11pm we boarded our bus to Coffs Harbour..
