Lloyd and Eve go on holiday!
Day 106- We woke up and talked to Josh and his flatmate Lauren for a while, she was also lovely. Josh was going for drinks with some work friends and we decided to do a bit of xmas shopping. Our lovely parents had got in took with us separably Lloyd's mam got in touch with me and my mam got in touch with Lloyd asking us to get each other present and they would put the money in our banks to cover it. It was a lovely thought and a lovely surprise as we had planned to not got each other anything being on such a tight budget. Lauren wasn't doing anything and offered to drive us to the big shopping centre and help us out. When we got there we split off in search of the perfect presents, meeting after an hour to swap floors so we wouldn't bump in to each other. Lauren decided to stick with me and it was great to spend the afternoon with her just gossiping and talking girl stuff haha, we got along really well. When time was up and we had bought all our present we met up again luckily Lloyd had managed to find me some things as he was starting to panic when we met up at half time haha. We headed back to the house and Josh text us asking if we wanted to meet up. Lauren's boyfriend Luke was in from work so the four of us went to the Honeysuckle hotel to meet Josh. The place was lovely, it wasn't a hotel, no rooms just a swanky bar. We sat outside on the river with Josh and his friends and had a few drinks until about 11pm, they was a great bunch of people. We headed back to the house and Luke cooked us some Kangaroo steaks and kangabangers (Kangaroo sausages they were amazing, especially the steak, probably some of the best meat we have ever tasted.
Day 107- We had a bit of a chilled out morning, catching up on things and talking to Lauren. We decided to go to Fort Scratchly, an old gun fort. Lauren hadn't been since she was in primary school so came along too. We were lucky to catch the last tour of the day at 2:30pm, from the outside the Fort looked great with big defences. Inside on the tour the place seemed a little run down, it had just had a massive renovation but looked like the money was spent in the wrong places. That said the massive cannon gun's and the stories behind them were very impressive and we all enjoyed the tour, we had one last look round the grounds before leaving and being on such high land we managed to get an amazing view of the coast line with many people kite surfing. Back at the house we wrapped up our presents. Josh made us a lovely chicken teriyaki and Lloyd made some lovely Bombay potatoes from scratch which was delicious. We sat and watched a film but one by one headed off to bed.
