Day eight- 'Pish'
It was great to have a room to myself again. Our hostel consists of 2 bunk cabins situated on a caravan and camping site. I slept until i wanted and then got up to see if anyone was around. I ran into Bryan and we popped down the town for the big shop. There really isn't much in Exmouth town wise. Its bigger than Coral Bay and has two IGA's which were not entirely sure why. After the shopping we sat down for a rest in the park and had a little chat which went on for around 3 hours and we made some sandwiches from our shopping. We then strolled back stopping off to watch the football game at the local field.
Exmouth is surrounded by miles of scrub lands/fields and is very quiet except for the screeching of hundreds of cockatoos! It reminds me of a scene from the Birds! We went for a big walk along the beach, which looked suspiciously like Southport minus the pier, people and seafront. We walked all the way down the sandy beach and over the dunes and joked about the man from wolf creek driving past in a blue hatchback blaring music out.
The hostel has some great Barbie facilities so we cook everything on there and sit outside in the open air.
Plan to go bike riding around the Cape tomorrow after Bryan's legendary winnign hand of rummy....
