After a five hour bus journey we arrived in Jodphur.  We nearly lost Ed as he had to make a quick exit from the bus for an emergency toilet stop - he was contemplating using a bottle it was so bad!  Apparently the buses rarely stop so we are both pleased that we have avoided delhi belly so far.

Jodphur is a typical bustling busy indian city overlooked by a huge fort.  We checked into our room at Haveli Guest House, showered the camel smell and sand away but Ed is still finding sand behind his ears!  We had curry and beer (for a change) on the rooftop restaurant.  Wonderful views of the blue city (painted houses) and the fort.  Just as we were about to leave lots of fireworks were set off from every corner of the city to celebrate our arrival.......ok, only joking they were for a local festival.
