Done a 6 day work week this week some with long hours some with shorter. Work has been very interesting at times but also sad. I saw 2 people pass away at close quarters, one of them who I did CPR on. Doctors told me to do it I didn't just start doing it. Watched echocardiograms, pacemakers being inserted, dialysis, catheters being inserted and EEG (monitoring brain activity by electrodes). Watched two pacemakers being inserted yesterday. One only part way through which was quite embarassing. The blood and operation wasn't affecting me but I was getting toilet urges and operation was taking so long. In end I had to creep out as I thought this was preferable to a puddle. Thats what I notice about doctors and nurses they must have strong bladders.
There was monsoon rain, thunder and lightening Friday morning again so didn't know what to do about going to work. Hostess was suggesting go in later or take a holiday but Japanese male went to his work and his is alot further away. Arriving dripping wet is embarassing but I had brought a change of clothes and a towel. Did have a umbrella up but still had to take a paddle through puddles and one car sent a wave over me.
Yesterday when getting out of the auto I said thank you and was about to say is there anything else I can help you with before stopping myself at the is. Routine after working in customer service.
Had funny stomach all week. Think its a different diet. It started being odd a week last Friday. Luckily not affecting me too much as often in morning and night. However it has been a bit worst today so only got to see lotus temple rather than doing tourist bus. I attracted some male attention today which wasn't very enjoyable. I wish Brits hadn't got such a reputation. I had boys following me around a park, one asking would I give him a kiss. Then when asked me a photo could feel them leering in at me so I said that was enough. Suppose I should have worn trousers. Lotus temple was nice once in but queue outside wasn't. One male I kept seeing over and over again today so think he was following me. He ended up behind me in the queue for temple and began to feel him touching me on shoulder and bum. It was an excuse for him in he was trying to make me move into queue but I was trying to get space away from him. I think he did slap my bum at some time. In end moved backwards a little but he was still near me nearly all the time yesterday. I did get more space from him though than had before.
I was trying to order a cake for my birthday but I ended up getting cake slices for everyone as I couldn't get them to understand did I need to order cake or were there some ready made in a display cabinet.
May think of some more things to add to this blog tomorrow but going to have to go back to homestay as stomach playing up.
Well been watching a pacemaker be inserted again today and various other diagnostic processes. Been a good day. Surgeon has also recommended me some antibiotics for upset stomach so got them and going to start taking them tonight. Hopefully it will sort stomach out as body doesn't seem to be able to shake it off.
Yesterday I also had trouble with an auto driver following me down the road. Think he was a little dodgy as he wanted to take me and when I said I had no change he said he would do it for free. Now that doesn't follow with my experience of auto drivers they usually try and get as much money out of me as they can. So I refused. However there are some very good auto drivers that you get every now and then who will use their metre. Usually its a case of haggling and in the morning before work I can't really be bothered with that as they are in high demand and theres not many of them in my area buzzing around in the morning without passengers in. Today I managed to get an auto driver this morning who used his metre so I paid 30 rupees rather than usual 50 rupees. One driver quoted me 70 rupees this morning and I said no to that. He then tried 60 rupees but I still refused. The only time I have paid more than 50 rupees was in monsoon rain.
Saw two motorbikes crash into back of each other on walk to internet cafe and then was busy with cars, autos and a group of people were removing corrugated iron from a lorry. Last night I didn't enjoy walking past a cows back end and the cow seemed almost parked next to cars. I did have another little exclaimation the other day as a tiny mouse ran under the fridge.
Going to go and pick up some stuff from the tailors now as been having some clothing altered that I bought over here. The legs were so narrow I couldn't get in them. Couldn't even get my foot in them. Then I'm also having some frayed ends sorted out on my sari.
