Well, had a lovely day yesterday being very lazy! Read my book by the pool and did some window shopping in town. Have now got tan lines that resemble neapolitan ice cream (red, white, brown) which is lovely!
Last night we headed into town for a night out and had a great time. We recruited another girl from our dorm who is from Japan and has limited english and seh seemed to ahve a great time even though she didn't really understand anything we were saying! We got back to the hostel at about 4 and decided to lie on the grass and look at the stars, not that we could see many cos it was cloudy but we put the world to rights for an hour or so before realising we were covered in bugs and a bit cold. We've been saying all week that one morning we're gonna get up early to watch the sunrise so this morning seemed as good a day as any. We went into the hostel to get our jumpers but needed to leave the After Hours gate open for gillian and obviously didn't have a door stop ... so julia pulled a tree over and used that instead! (see photo). We also decided to have a go on the playpark (which is so cool compared to the ones here! they have sprinklers to jump in and out of and a BBQ and everything!) and then got settled to watch the sun rise over the mud flats. It was lovely and relaxing. Bizarrely enough at 5am there were loads of people cycling/power walking/rollerblading along the esplanade! One french guy who was cycling along (because he couldn't sleep) came and joined us for the hour or so we were watching it.By the time the sun had risen the cafe next to the hostel had opened so we popped in for a bacon sarnie and a smoothie and then headed to bed finally at 8am. Only got a couple of hours kip but then had a nice morning in the pool which certainly woke us up. Planning on an easy day and cinema tonight as I'm up early tomorrow and will need some sleep!
It was certainly a random night!
Will no doubt be writing another blog tomorrow night as i ahve soemthing exciting planned for tomorrow!
