Opening day is finally here! BB, CH and I were up at 435am and ready to go. We rushed out to waters edge to get our spot and to watch for the flare over the water that signals " its go time". We were greeted by 25 degree temps with 18 degree wind chill. That was the only thing that greeted us, i guess we didn't get the memo that everyone was sleeping in. We put our poles in the water and BB caught the 1st of his 6 fish within 30 seconds. We all caught our share of 2-3 pounders on the day . Those weren't good enough to win the derby tho, that went to Diego and Roman Luna kids and adults division respectively. The wind and sun beat us down pretty good today, but we still had a great time. I want to thank George and his family for the invitation and their hospitality. Cant say enough, they are great folks and they have the opener down to a science. Looking forward to next year.
