Today we went to Virginia Lakes and Lundy Lake. These lakes are about 45 minutes north of Mammoth Lakes. By driving to this area we were able to escape the unhealthy smokey air from the Aspen fire. The Virginia Lakes area is spectacular! I can just imagine early settlers stopping there before arriving in Bodie. Check out some of the pictures, especially the one of me holding a fish I caught:) Lundy Lake is a pretty big lake. We did not fish it because of the wind but I did snap a few photos. I scoped out the canyon for a future hike. We returned to town to hit the brewery and grab a pizza. Great day!
