We have arrived safe and sound. The flight from Montreal to paris was uneventful. I slept for an hour, Tanya slept for 3 and I think Scott slept for 2. We landed around 8:00 and after collecting luggage and navigating the metro we found the rental agency. They let us check in early at 2:00 so we had to drop our luggage there and wander around for a few hours. We had lunch at some little restaurant a block away from our rental office then we walked around notre dame and up and down a section of the seine. It's extremely busy here in June. It was also fairly hot here today. We were all fast becoming grumpy because we were exhausted so we were happy when we could check into the apartment. The apartment is in an awesome location. The picture attached to this entry is from our deck. It's about to storm here, hence the darkness. Apparently the french version of AC is just not having the heat on so the apartment stays toasty. Luckily we're on the 6th floor so with the windows open it provides a nice breeze. There is a jazz festival going on in St. Germain this weekend so we've been able to here the music all day. We've mostly crashed. So far so good. Tomorrow is another relaxation day before we ramp up the tourist activities.
My ear finally popped. b**** took like 3 hours to fully pop. Then Tanya's got all crazy when we landing in paris. And we've both had headaches today but that's par for the course with my jet lag.
It just started pouring rain. I looked across the street and there is an old couple sleeping in bed with their window wide open. The man may or may not have on pants. Didn't need to see that.

Daniel It sounds like you caught a glimpse of true Parisian life...naked napping.
