Let's see if this works. I wrote an extensive entry yesterday and it wouldn't load. I wrote it 4 times without success. This is day 2 of my hike. I've covered about 32 miles. The first day, which was a trek over the Pyrennes, was difficult but spectacular. My backpack is both my lifeline and my nemesis. It feels like I'm carrying a ton of bricks.
