Yesterday was a great day at the beach! The wind was pumping enough for me to get a couple of hours in the waves and my 12m kite was just perfect. As I was surfing around, cool as ever (or at least that's what I thought) I saw this big dark shadow under the surface just in front of me. My first reaction was of course: shark! So for a split second I got scared, but that all turned in to a big smile when a nice friendly head of a big South African seal popped out of the water! :) It followed me around for a bit, almost as if he wanted to welcome me. This never happened to me before, really cool!

After the session when I came up on the beach I could see people focusing on something. I turned around and saw a guy climbing the 40 meter crane of an old ship wreck; with his kite in the air!! I found out it was this crazy dane Nick Jacobsen who was gonna climb up to the top of the crane with his kite in the air and his board on his back, eat a lunch samdwich at the top, and then jump. My parents are here now and they are gonna celebrate xmas with me which feels really nice. We had such a great day with Julie-Ann at Kirstenbosch today!
