Wow, today was awesome! First of all we checked out of our hostel (Footprints) and checked into another (Sydney Backpackers) coz the bargain hunter among us (Izz!) found a good deal... 2 nights at really good hostel with our own room, free ferry trip to Manly and free all day trip to the Blue Mountains - all for $99; we were very happy bunnies. Anyway, so after checking in we went to Sydney Aquarium which was amazing. We saw lots and lots of amazing fish; royal blue star fish, crocodile, crabs, jelly fish, seals, huge sting rays, sea horses, sharks, and yes, even Nemo. They had a few underwater tunnels too so you felt like you were in the sea; it was incredible to be standing just inches away from big sharks and massive sting rays (about 2 metres!). The colours were cool too; the Great Barrier Reef section 'blew you away!' haha... Silly me forgot to take my camera but Tom and Izzy managed to get some good shots and it was amazing all the same. After, we wandered back over through Darling Harbour (I prefer Darling Harbour to Sydney), seeing jelly fish in the water along the way (!) and visited the fish market again. Its a really cool place serving HUGE platters of seafood and fish and its not smelly at all! We soaked up the little bit of sun that decided to come out, with some calamari, and meandered back home. Tonight we may go and see the Da Vinci Code but its early to bed for our 0750 start for the Blue Mountains tomorrow morning... ARGH!
