Today was the day we began our Whitsunday's sailing trip, apparently one of the highlights of Australia! Not for us it wasn't. The boat was really cramped and stuffy, it chucked it down with rain all day so we were stuck inside the boat feeling incredibly sea sick! We had to share what they called a 'double bed', which was smaller than an average single bed- and it was soaking wet because there was a leak right above it, so we were spooning right on the edge! The crew were really nice but we didn't really click with the other people on the boat so this just added to our crankiness! Basically it was a disaster so we made ourselves laugh about it otherwise we would've cried! The second day on the boat we had a tiny bit of sunshine, well apparently more than we thought because we turned a nice rouge colour and got ourselves some killer strap marks! Just as the trip was looking up because we were going to dive the reef in the afternoon, we were told we had to turn around and go home because of strong gale warnings! We couldn't believe it! The boss told us basically that we have to claim our money back through our insurance, which is just hassle for us! To prove how bad the trip was, all the crew on our boat quit their jobs! Oh well. things are looking better now we're back on land! xx
