After breakfast we had to return our handy ATVs. After a bit of a blunder getting back to where we purchased them from, we were driven back to our hotel. Because it was our last day we decided to spend it on our beach again. We ordered some drinks and just enjoyed being there. We even went a bit into the water, although it was a bit cold, I just love being in the water.
I think we skipped lunch that day. We didn't exert any energy unless you count flipping over every half hour. Well, we had to go to dinner somewhere along to beach because we had to walk. We walked down a bit and a waiter approched us and said we looked hungry. We took a peak at the menu and decided to eat there. The table was actually set up in the sand, it was so beautiful, but what on this trip wasn't!? Once again the food blew me away. It turned out the place just opened the day before and we were one of the first people to go there. Ironically enough, the family that had gotten to our hotel a few days before was eating there too! The man asked us how much longer we would be on the island and after we replied it was our last night he returned with a pitcher of wine! Later we had shown interest in dessert but decided against it, but they brought us some anyways free of charge! I understand why Greece is in such a financial crisis but they have the best hospitality.
We returned to the hotel and did the usual sitting outside. We turned in for the night and woke up for breakfast and to discuss leaving for the airport. We soaked in as much as we could with our last few hours in the most fantastic place. The hotel owner drove us again. He was incredibly nice!! We got there within plently of time but the place was packed. We had to wait to check our bag and then to go through the one line that was open for security. After that, we had to wait before going through customs. Oh yeah, there was no line to wait in, but just a bundle of people. So that was finally over with and we had to wait to line up for the bus to take us 20 feet to the plane. It was the first stressful situation in a while and I did not enjoy it one bit. We finally board the plane and I think 3/4 of the plane was related to each other. Kels and I had a screaming child right by us and well, you know how awesome that can be. After 4 long hours, we landed back into England and took the Gatwick Express to Victoria station. We bought some food and then got back onto our bus.
Our vacation was over and it was time to start focusing on finals and finishing up our time in England!
