On our final day in Prague, not only were emotions running high at saying goodbye to such a beautiful city where we'd made so many memories, but energy levels were running low after three packed days of sight seeing and cultural excursions.
We were taken on our final walking tour, courtesy of our very own tour guide Mr Smith, through the Jewish Cemetery, a sombre place where we were reminded of the harsh reality of the Second World War. For a few of us who had chosen to visit the War museum, this showed the other side of what we had viewed there. From the different weapons and uniforms used, to the training of the soldiers and the different aspects of the Nazi regime from the 1930s to the end of the Second World War, if only we'd been able to visit before we sat our History GCSE!
After visiting the Jewish Cemetery, we walked through the Oxford Street equivalent of Prague before splitting into smaller groups to visit our own museums of choice. Some chose to re-visit the remarkable music museum whilst others decided to relax in an art museum or visiting the Prague Market to pick up those sought-after souvenirs for home. We enjoyed our final meal together in Prague, before heading back to the hotel to pick up our bags and make our way to the airport.
A very big thank you to Mr Smith, Mrs Cashmore and Mr Kitzinger for taking us on this incredible trip, we have made memories that will last a lifetime.
