KCT Scholars in Prague
One sunny afternoon, we ventured up Petrín Hill to explore the Strahov Monastery. Despite getting slightly lost on the way, we finally made it to our destination: the library.
After getting confused as to which building to go in, we were greeted by a magnificent display of extravagant books, beautifully crafted furniture, and even scary-looking preserved animals! The two main rooms of the library were breathtaking. With high ceilings, grand decorations, ingenious book-related inventions and row upon row of books, we all wished we could go in and investigate; unfortunately, the rooms were guarded by fierce-looking Czechs.
All in all, in spite of the long walk and confusing signage, it was an amazing visit.
