South Goa is even better!!! Absolutely stunning. Me and Claire have travelled with the 2 couples, 2 girls from Denmark and Catherine from England to Palolem beach resort for some chilled out beach time after being on the go solidly for 2 weeks sight seeing. There aren't as many Indians hassling you, they just seem pleased to see you, the surrounding are even more beautiful and the beach is amazing. Following meeting Kennedy in north Goa he also owns a Cafe Del Mar in Palolem so we stayed there for 2 nights in the huts and then moved to some cheaper huts just a couple of bars down, all on the beach :)
I had lovely food, chose my fish last night freshly caught, i had Pomfret which was new to me- gorgeous, and only about 3 quid! It was Catherine's last full night with us so we had some drinks and celebrated. We've met some guys who live out here during the english winter and then work in Zante/Magaluf during the summer, basically avoiding England all together! They took us to watch the sunset at tsome rocks which was lovely and something we wouldn't have known about. Later on they advised we try the killer cocktail, 4 corners of the world, it has something like Vodka, Gin, white rum, dark rum and sprite... wow. they need drinks like that in England! haha. Safe to say i soon fell asleep on Joe's hammock! The next morning i woke up not knowing where my money cards and passport were, cried ont he beach, no indians understood what i was looking for... it was in my room all along- typical Kate hey.
The next night they took us to the best stek house on the beach- i'm not a meat fan at all but OMG this fillet steak was amazing! Ang a huge portion! Cooked perfectly and cost about 3 pounds. i couldnt even eat it all so Flip Flop (the adopted dog) did quite well out of us.
Leaving Palolem was sad because we have had so much fun and met some great people. We had a fantastic send off as Mark made a bonfire on the beach and we all stayed out drinking and partying around the bonfire which also attracted some randoms from around the beach, it was a success! It was also another goodbye to one of the couples, Jodie and Lee. the group of 15 was down to just 4!
