Up early and a decent drive to the Terengire nat park with a quick stop to buy a Tanzania football strip with some very poor haggling from myself. We descended into the crater today for our full day game drive. The reserve has been left within the crater of an old volcano and has the appearance of something from a lost world. 20 mins in and our good luck seemed to continue as we watched a national geographic style episode involving a male lion acting as a decoy whilst a lioness stalked a buffalo in a group of three. A more sociable 8 am start today for our game drive. Lots of antelope and zebra on the go and then we came across the same lioness from yesterday stalking a kill. Whilst watching her crawling closer to the zebra we were delighted to see two little cubs trailing behind. Early rise at 415 for our balloon experience today. Time for a quick coffee and a biscuit then off for a drive in the dark to our take off site. We met our pilot Frank who loaded us in the balloon basket whilst on it's side. There was 16 of us in total lying horizontal in our little sections of the basket, and then Frank fired up the burners and we dragged along the ground before take off.
