After very rugged roads, slipping our of my chair and various temp changes from steaming hot to freezing cold I awoke around 6am with full anticipation for breakfast. At 7am breakfast had still not been served and people you could see were getting anxious - I decided to have a snack and prey breakfast was coming. It wasn't until 9am breakfast came and what a joke it was: 100ml of orange juice and two tiny cupcakes - note to self never expect anything and you will always be amazed. I was slightly hopeful they might give us lunch as they had promised but unfortunately no such luck. At 1pm we arrived at Cials own terminal and I asked if I could catch a bus to Mancora from here - I was told I could and thankfully the bus had some spare seats and would be leaving in 2.5 hours. I decided to go for a walk and try and find some Internet and maybe something for dinner, I managed to find some wifi and a huge avocado that would do me nicely for dinner just incase I get served up a box of rice again. I can't say I am overly ecstatic about another 20 hour bus ride but such is life and by this time tomorrow I should be in warm weather on a beach breathing some fresh sea air. The bus came late and when we finally boarded it had to make 2 more stops at bus stations within the City of Lima - this taking over 2 hours. When we were leaving the city the traffic was crazy and at one point our bus started to roll backwards unbeknown to the driver, the bus behind started honking but it was no good our bus rolled back into the other bus and bang crash - oh yeah I am sitting on the backseat on the corner where we collided. I don't think there was much damage as both drivers just yelled at each other and neither got out and checked. The journey out of the city was long and at about 7pm dinner was served, slightly better then yesterday's: a box of rice, a potato and a tiny piece of chicken, and one biscuit for dessert. I took the piece of chicken, mashed up one of my boiled eggs and mixed it all with half an avocado and Bam there's a dinner to remember. The girl who was supposed to be working the bus giving out meals, looking after customers grabbed the seat next to me and fell straight asleep - quiet funny as she hadn't done 20 minutes work and she obviously was hiding from drivers.
