Today was Cris's last day so after a small sleep-in we headed into the city and made our way up to Sasquahuaman - another famous archaeological site situated on a hill overlooking Cusco city. On the way we passed an interesting parade happening in the Main Plaza - we watched a little and then continued up the hill. Unfortunately it was nearly $30 to visit the site so we hoped we would be able to get a view from the road which the people even tried to stop us walking along. Everywhere in this city they are screwing tourists and treating us like fools which has taken its toll on me now and I feel it a real shame. Unbelievably it started to hail so we had to duck for cover and head back to the city as soon as we had a break in the weather. On the way back to Ronnie's place we came across the Coca museum that had free entrance as today was Sunday. The coca museum was incredibly interesting and to be honest I wish I could have stayed longer but Cris had to leave for the airport so we headed back. Cris and I said our goodbyes and promised the next trip would be to Africa. For the rest of the day I went exploring the city and visiting various museums - one specially interesting museum was that of the famous Inca of Cusco. In the evening there was a special music and dance performance that my tourist ticket allowed me entrance to; this was also surprisingly good and I got to see and listen to typical Peruvian music and watch traditional dances. After the show I headed back to the house, cooked dinner and realized its lonely again without Cris.
