It is so so hard to sleep up here on the Caribbean Coast, if its not the Mosquitos, it's the noise and if its not the noise it's most certainly the heat and if your lucky the whining of a fan. I tried to sleep-in a bit today but couldn't get more then 20 minutes of sleep at a time so at 9:30am I got up and started doing some research and planning for Peru. Before lunch I had to go find an Internet cafe and print off my plane ticket for tonight's flight to Medellin. After lunch Mel and I walked in the crazy heat to the market in the hope of finding a sofa cover, unfortunately we didn't find but I got to see many interesting things and people in the market. The rest of the afternoon I packed and organized myself ready for my flight. At 7pm I said my goodbyes and thank you's to Mel and headed to the airport. I managed to go past the airport without even noticing and luckily asked the bus driver only two stops after - I walked back and there it was - Cartagena's little airport. After Check-in I waited a few hours then boarded the flight, the flight was over quite quickly and to be honest I sleapt the whole way- only waking on the slightly rocky landing. After arriving I called my host Elizabeth and she came and picked me up and took me to her beautiful little cottage only 5 minutes from the Airport. First thing I notice is the extreme difference in temperature because of the high altitude. We talked a while and before we new it- it was 2:30am and time for bed.
