After a very late night lastnight we were all up super early. I decided to make Paola a little snack for breakfast that we had talked about yesterday - Arepas with melted Boccadillo - it was absolutely delicious and perfect kickstart to the day. I am feeling great today, not older actually, but younger?? Lets see if I can't rewind the time clock.?I was a little sad to be leaving today as I had felt so at home here and the girls had been so kind to me. The hardest part of traveling is all the goodbyes and to tell the truth they don't get any easier. At 10am I met Paola said our goodbyes or in our case see you laters as I am sure we will meet again. I made my way to the bus station and was hit with my first bus station and finding a bus situation in Colombia. To say it wasn't full on would be a lie, people pulling me, yelling names of places, bus yes bus bus and they didn't let up, all I wanted was a big bus with a toilet I managed to find a company that had bus coming in hour so I waited, I managed to haggle price slightly which was nice and getting onto the bus I realized I had done well, big seats, lots of leg room, 2 toilets and only 4 other people onboard. The bus ride was quiet windey, incredibly scenic but unfortunately very slow going, arriving 4 hours late because of delays. I had to get off just before the city so I had less of a distance to go to Sierras my hosts house. When we stopped the bus driver informed me this was spot and to taxi from her, I said Thankyou and began to walk and the co-driver ran after me saying I could get a lift from him and his family who were headed that way (well he didn't say - he conveyed) wow so kind and generous - love this country. Arriving to the shopping centre the next task was to find a phone and call Sierra. Unfortunately I had a lot of trouble and went about asking shop workers how and where to call from, luckily a young girl heard me speaking English and ran to my assistance offering me her phone. How's that two incredibly generous acts within minutes of each other, I don't know what to say except I have faith in humanity. I got hold of Sierra and made my way to her place, when I arrived I was met by her lovely dog and 2 cats and her roommate Dan. Sierra and Dan are both American and have both been living here in South Anerica almost 10 years between them, the advice, the ideas and the motivation they gave me was invaluable. Once again I am to be blessed with another amazing couchsurfing experience. Oh and a warm shower, how nice it was to have a warm shower but I can't help but miss Tunja, Paola, Mafee, Lore and the rest of my Tunja family.
