Today Sonia and I have plans to go watch a show at the Planatarium but unfortunately the weather looks quite bad today. In the morning I did a workout cooked some lunch and did some trip planning whilst I waited for Sonia. The weather finally cracked up and started to rain heavily and unfortunately we had to call the Planatarium visit off. I had also organized to meet another Couchsurfer tonight and have a cook-up with her and 2 other Couchsurfers at her place which was luckily very close to my hosts place. I had to go to the supermarkets and so I waited for the rain to ease but it didn't so I borrowed a n umbrella and then took to the streets. The streets were flooded and the rain was coming down hard so I made my way to the supermarket as quick as possible but ended up getting soaked even with the umbrella. I made some hummus to take to Jess's party and then showered and got ready to go. Unfortunately there was a bus strike today so no buses were running in the centre which meant I had to walk to Jess's place which luckily was only a short 35 minute walk. On arrival I met Jess, Merlin an Austrian guy and Carola a German girl that was staying with Jess. Jess was already cooking so I jumped straight in and started preparing the vegetables to have with the hummus. Everyone spoke English well but unfortunately Jess couldn't understand a word I was saying in English so I had to practice my Spanish of which she also barely understood. We put out a few dips; the hummus, a peanut butter/honey/coconut milk and spicy dip and a sour cream and chives dip - cracked a bottle of red wine and started the night in style. Both Merlin and Carola spoke English incredibly well so we could talk about travels and life's very easy. I continued cooking making my tortilla and then letting it rest whilst we waited for Jess to finish up. Another Couchsurfer by the name if Igor came around later and made some quinoa and then we were ready to eat. What a Vegan feast it was with tortilla, soufflé, hummus, dips, ratatouille, baked aunergine, salads, soy mince and a few other small dishes. We ate, laughed, chatted, exchanged stories and drank wine. After dinner Igor wanted to show us his Acro-yoga - maybe not the best idea with a full stomach but Jess and I gave it a go. Acro-yoga is basically counter balance acrobatics with two people and is quite spectacular to look at; we made a 3 person tower, two person plans and counter stretches. Jess made some delicious dessert of baked fruit and a cake which she smothered in dulce de leche - I couldn't help myself and had to try it all. At around 1:30am I decided it was time to go and after rugging up as it was raining outside, walked back to Sonia's place. It was a little but dodgy to be honest but luckily the streets were packed with people and as it was raining nobody really took any notice of me. When I got back Sonia was sitting up so we chatted for a few hours and drank tea before going to bed.
