Leisurely start to the day. We left Phadking at 0900 for a 3 hour walk to our next stop Monjo.
We have walked past many mules and other cow like animals transporting potatoes, rice and cement between
Lukla and Namche Bazaar.
The weather has been amazing with plenty of sunshine which has meant we have had amazing views of the mountains and countryside!
One outstanding view was of .......
It did not take us long to arrive at Monjo despite a teastop.
We crossed several high suspension bridges over the river which I am still finding a bit nerve wracking but watching all the animals cross laden down puts it in perspective.
Another lovely lunch and relaxing afternoon spent in Monjo at the Yeti Mountain Home.
The managing director of KE Adventure is also staying here as he is checking out trekking routes and the damage done by the earthquake. He has set up a charitable trust to help.
Lively evening spent chatting around fire drinking a small rum punch and tea before another early start tomorrow for a long walk up to Namche Bazaar. In bed again by 2100.
