Day 3
We still haven't sorted out the phones as they are locked but Su-Yin has emailed O2 and eventually gets the unlock code. I resort to buying a used Samsung that I can't get on with! We stroll into Victoria Park. It's baking but old men are running around in vests playing football or chatting in the elders exercise corner. International Tennis tournaments are played here.
We head to Mongkok, once dubbed the most heavily populated area on earth! Starting off at Prince Edward MTR stop, we stroll along Flower Market Road. It is what it says. Numerous shops are filled with orchids, potted plants strewn on the pavements and buckets of cut flowers in abundance. There are nurseries on one side adjacent to Mongkok Stadium. Flower Market leads to the relocated Yuen Po Street Bird Garden, not mentioned so much since Avian Bird Flu. But it's still interesting to see the bird keepers hanging their little cages up listening for their song, and the cages are small. There's everything you can buy here, including live feed.
So we're heading to Fa Yuen Street, Su-Yin's favourite. We spend half an hour moving 20m as there are many shoe shops. 2 pairs of shoes later and we're ready to move on . Kai's looking up the Beat headphones by dr.dre that we've seen at all the markets and has his ipod to try them out.
