Day 68. We left Fowler's Bay in better weather and motored down to Streaky Bay, stopping at Ceduna for a look and to stock up on fruit and veg. Ceduna is a well set up town and worth the visit. Then on to Streaky Bay through country almost like the rolling hills above Swanage in the UK. Very green. Like Fowler's Bay, it was named by Mathew Flinders and was a base for EJ Eyre. Also like Fowler's Bay, it was settled by whalers and pastoralists in the mid 19th century. Currently it is a thriving town supporting the surrounding rural and fishing industries. It is a pretty location as well. The van park is right on the foreshore and there are pelicans on the water and OAPs on the beach! Elle enjoyed a long walk along the beach and through the town to the pier. So did we.
